Samuel FIELDING
• Employment. Dentist in Johannesburg and a journalist and war writer of note • Military Award. He served as a Captain in the S.A.M.C. during the Second World War, and while in the Army won first prize for an essay on mobilization. Awarded the Wilson Peace Prize for an essay. • Election. Was the first Secretary of the United Nations in South Africa. Samuel married Ruth. (Ruth was born in 1918, died on 13 Feb 1995 in Cape Town, South Africa and was buried in Pinelands.) Samuel next married Ruth KRAMER. |
